Nickelodeon USA Scores 19th Straight Week At The Top With Kids And Total Viewers

Nickelodeon, the number-one entertainment brand for kids and families, has announced in the following press release, from TVByTheNumbers.com, the exciting Nickelodeon News that Nick USA closed the week (Monday 5th to Saturday 17th May 2014) as basic cable's number-one network in total day with Kids 2-11 (2.5/802K) and total viewers (1.5M), notching the 19th successive weekly win for the net!


Nickelodeon USA was propelled to the top spot by its roster of animated hits. "Sanjay and Craig" was the week's top animated series, across all TV with Kids 2-11 (4.6/1.5M, +92%) and Kids 6-11 (4.4/850K, +91%); followed by "SpongeBob SquarePants", which averaged a 4.3/1.4M with K2-11 and 4.3/845K with K6-11. "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" rounded out the top three with both K2-11 (4.1/1.3M) and K6-11 (4.2/820K).

Nickelodeon USA also swept with Kids 2-5, taking the top five spots for the week with this demo. "PAW Patrol" led the net's hit preschool roster, averaging a 6.7/833K (+22%); "Wallykazam!" ranked second, scoring a 65.6/695K; "Bubble Guppies" placed third with a 5.6/694K; "Dora the Explorer" followed with a 5.6/688K and "Team Umizoomi" rounded out the top five with a 5.5/674K.

For the third straight week Nick at Nite scored basic cable's top spot in total day with Women (0.5/292K). In primetime the network also scored double-digit increases with Adults 18-49 for the week, averaging a 0.3/340K (+19% in delivery) and drawing 1.1M (+14%) total viewers.

Nick USA's niche networks also continue to post increases with their core demos. Nicktoons netted double-digit gains with Kids 6-11 (+67%) and Boys 6-11 (+20%); while TeenNick secured double and triple-digit year over year gains, up +69% with total viewers, and up +100% with T12-17 for the week.
