eOne Celebrates Ten Years Of "Peppa Pig" With Hamleys Partnership; "Britain is GREAT" Reconises Iconic British Brand With Special Advert

Toy News, a trade magazine for the toy industry, and World Screen, a publication which covers the international media business, are reporting the very exciting "Peppa Pig" news that, to commemorate the tenth anniversary of "Peppa Pig", Entertainment One (eOne) Licensing is launching a major brand initiative with Hamleys toy shops that involves a special "Peppa Pig" themed window display and various in-store events!


The "Peppa Pig" window display is set up at the retailer's flagship Regent Street branch from this week until September. It features Peppa's world with theme park styling and 3D characters. Products within the display are from Character Options, TY, HTI, Trademark, Ladybird Publishing and Golden Bear. Character Options will also be showcasing their brand-new "Ben and Holly's Little Kingdom" toy range, now available at the store, in the window. The in-store events are taking place at four Hamleys locations in the UK. Activities include treasure hunts, competitions, themed parties and visits and photo opportunities with the Nick Jr. megastar herself. The first 125 children to visit each participating store will also be given a oink-tastic free gift!

Peppa's summer activity at Hamleys is a great brand-building exercise and allows us to give something back to consumers who can immerse themselves in Peppa's world and even take a selfie with Peppa herself! Additionally, the UK government's Britain is GREAT campaign, which aims to promote the UK internationally as a GREAT place to visit, study and do business, and showcases the very best of what Britain has to offer, has officially recognised and honoured the mega success of the massively popular British animated preschool series by unveiling a very special "...Is GREAT Britain" promo featuring the iconic children's character and her family, George Pig, Mummy Pig and Daddy Pig, to celebrate the creativity on offer in the UK!:

The campaign will see a themed window display grace the iconic Regent Street branch as well as a range of in-store events across four Hamleys stores.

The Peppa Pig window, running from this week until September, will feature Peppa’s world with theme park styling and 3D characters.

The window features products from Character Options, TY, HTI, Trademark, Ladybird Publishing and Golden Bear.

Character Options' new Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom toy range will also be showcased in the window.

Staff at the stores will be wearing Peppa and Hamleys t-shirts during the event and the first 125 little ‘piggies’ in each store will receive a free Peppa gift.
