"Blaze and the Monster Machines" (20 episodes) is brand-new interactive CG-animated series that will introduce preschoolers to the areas of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). This is the first preschool show that features a curriculum dedicated to all areas of STEM. Viewers will join an eight-year-old boy named AJ and his best friend and incredible monster truck Blaze on super-sized adventures in Axle City - a town populated with big-wheeled vehicles known as monster machines.

Blaze is Axle City's greatest hero and the champion of the racetrack! Whenever there's trouble, he's the truck everyone turns to for help because he can do things no other truck can! Blaze has Blazing Speed - a special turbo boost that lets him accelerate in times of need to go faster than any other monster machine. But Blaze has more than just speed. He also has the power to transform into any other vehicle or machine! Using his knowledge of engineering, Blaze can add new parts to himself and change into anything. From a hydrofoil to a hang glider to even a hair dryer, if you can engineer it, Blaze can become it!

In each episode of "Blaze and the Monster Machines", AJ and the viewer help Blaze as they explore the physics of how things move, tackling problems through scientific inquiry and mathematics, and discovering the component parts necessary to make everyday technologies work.

"Blaze and the Monster Machines" is created by Jeff Borkin ("Team Umizoomi", "Blue's Clues") and Ellen Martin ("Bubble Guppies", "The Backyardigans").

Random House, the largest general-interest trade book publisher in the world, are planning to publish books based on Nick's brand-new preschool property in Spring 2015, marking Nickelodeon's first TV-based licensing and publishing program to hit retail less than a year after the debut of a show.
